The Chanove's
It is with deep sadness and regret that we have to inform you all of our move to California. As some of you may know, Angie’s mother has been struggling with several major health issues that proceeded her brain surgery (almost 2 years ago) and is progressively getting worse. Angie is the eldest daughter and very close to her mom and wants to be closer her to & assist her with all of her medical needs at this time. We really prefer a 45 minute drive versus a 7-hour drive to her current home. We have all struggled with this decision for the last year and have came to the conclusion of moving closer to her and her family. We are very blessed to be able to make this transition since I am self-employed and Angie works out of the house as an “expert domestic engineer” (LOL).
We have been looking for a home in both the San Diego and Orange County areas and just recently found a house in Tustin, CA. We will be moving sometime in mid-March but I will continue to be around in both areas due to my business in here in Vegas. Therefore, I will be traveling back and forth between our 2 homes for now. Sandy has also offered me the opportunity to continue coaching with Team Vegas and the ODP. I will also hope to find time to come to masters workout when I'm not traveling back & forth.
We really want to thank our Team Vegas family for all the happiness and cherished memories that you all created in our lives. We thank you all for your support especially during times of need and at times of familial events that we shared!!!! We will truly miss you all and the times we've shared these past couple of years.
Angie, the kids and I really don't know any other life but this Team life. You all are truly our family here and thank you again for being there.
We will definitely miss that feeling of belonging, especially since we are going to a city were we are totally starting from scratch!
As soon as we settle in.... we will have a BBQ gathering and welcome you all to our new home. Our home will always be open to the team in times of tournaments or events nearby.
We are also unable to take our dog Sparky with us, so we are looking for a good home for him. If anyone of you know or anyone who is wanting or would like to have a cute doggy, please let us know. :)
Needless to say, OUR HEART will ALWAYS be with TEAM VEGAS- HENDERSON WATER POLO!!!!!!!
Thank you and our best regards,
Coach Tony, Angie, Sky, Mia, & Dill Chanove

Kap 7 Results
What a great weekend of Water Polo - we had sunshine, great games, spent time with great families and friends.
Quick Recap:
16 Boys played great throughout the tournament ending up in the Championship Game in the Silver Division. They won 4 games before playing in the Gold Game and lost in a Shootout!! Heart breaker! They played their hearts out! The team was without a goalie in their own age group, Joey and Sam helped fill in. What impressed me the most was how they all stuck together when things got tough! How supportive they were of each other in the in the high and low times!! Awesome TEAM!!
14 Boys: Now the 16 were without a goalie and that was tough but the 14's might have had it a bit tougher: were without a sub. In their 1st game Dale and Skler had 3 major fouls and we had to pull over 2 of the 11 year old girls who were playing at the same time (which left the 12's without a sub) to fill in so they had 7 players in the water. The 14's went on to win the rest of their games and finished 3rd in the Gold Division. Team was focused on Sunday and played great!! (but have 2 wkends of hard labor coming)
12 Boys: With a 10 year old goalie (Sam), 5 girls 11 & younger, (Chole, Mia, Maci, Sarah and Jessica) a 8 year old starter (Gage) and two newer players (Thomas and Aram) playing against all boys team played great. The team earned 1st place in the Gold Division!! Some of the girls also played with the 14 boys. Great Job!!!
10 & U: The 10's brought home the Silver Medal... great job. The semi final game it was a nail bitter with a one point win and a fun game to watch, play and coach. Genai Keer the men's olympic team goalie handed out the medals to our players, they took pictures with Genai too. Congrat's on your Silver Medal!!!
A great weekend - Most team and most players showed a great improvement. As a coach this is all we can ask for: They come to workout - they work hard - and perform great because of the work they put into their game. If you have pictures send to Mark and we will post a few on our blog!
Before closing I want to share a few comments from many coaches, parents and Ref's from other teams: They were very impressed with our players, polite, well behaved, good knowledge of the game and played well. Also many praises from other coaches and Ref's about the coaching staff: Good comments from the bench, good game management and the one I was most proud of was: How the could see how the coaches loved what they were doing!!! I am sure everyone knows how lucky we are to have such dedicated coaches..Thank you: Jake, Mark, Whitney, Louie and Tony!!!

Reminder for Weekend
1. With everyone coming in at different times, some leaving Saturday am, coaches will not be able to talk to players on Friday night. So everyone be at the pool ( not walking in, not driving in the parking lot, not in the locker room, ON DECK sitting in front of your coach) one hour before your game time.
2. We have four different teams entered in the tournament, it is not often we are all playing at the same location so we need to take advantage of this situation. I want to see all teams cheering on your teammates, all sitting together in one area. They have an awesome snack bar, not just junk food so you don't need to leave the pool to get food, you should have your own cooler with drinks and snacks, or bring things to eat between games (P&J sandwich etc) or you can send 1/2 parents to bring back food for the players on your team. Bring your lawn chair - a must!! Looks like it will be sunny this weekend, not real hot but if you have a pop up tent that would be good to bring.
Please wear TVH water polo gear!! Taylor's can you bring our banners and something to tie onto the fence?
We are very short on the # of players on some of the teams - I will let you know if we might use you to play up on another team. (No one will play down, so don't ask - Nik).
