LV Marathon

Hello all,Please print out this for easy reference for Sunday's Marathon:
Be at the "Expo Group" at 4:00am
Check in with me for keys, lunch, passes, additional instructions
Drive to your designated location when advised
Volunteer's will unload your truck (help if you like, but not required)
Call me once you are on post and set-up
Monitor the radio for the start of the race (projected to start at 6:00)
When the coordinator counts down to zero, push "up" on the clock controller
Unless there is an emergency, do not talk on the radio's
If a runner comes to you and can't finish (not medical issue) call and advise me and they will be picked up
If a runner needs medical attention, also call me and advise what the condition is and medical personnel will respond
When your leg is opened back up to traffic, the volunteers will load your truck back up
The volunteers will also collect, bag and load trash on your truck (help if you like, but not required)
The clocks should be picked back up from the folks who delivered them. If not, call me and I'll advise
Once loaded, drive truck back to "Expo Group" (where you started) and you'll be done!
I'll be sending out a follow-up email to you all soon after the race to get feedback for the organizers on what went well and not so well

We are cutting it very close reference having enough drivers for this event as I've had two cancellations since the last email. I've replaced those two with two of our alternates which leaves very little room for last minute cancellations. Please respond back to me via email to confirm you received this and also to confirm that you are still committed. This is an excellent fund raiser for Team Vegas/Henderson Water Polo. How we conduct ourselves and how well we handle our responsibilities will be a key to whether or not the LV Marathon group will continue to use us for future marathons. I JUST GOT ANOTHER SCHEDULE FOR OUR 12'S AND 10'S - IT IS ALMOST THE SAME TIMES - BUT!!!! THEY ARE GOING TO SEND ANOTHER EMAIL OUT ON THURSDAY FOR ANY FURTHER CHANGES!!!

SO: FRIDAY BEFORE WE LEAVE I WILL HAVE A PRINTED COPY OF OUR GAME TIMES.

1. No Club workout on Fri 30th - we will be in Commerce for a tournament.
2. No Club workout on Saturday Dec 1st; older players come to Masters MGP.
3. Masters workout on Sat is from 2-4 pm be at the pool no later than 2:45 pm if you want to be placed on a team!!!!
4. Beginning Dec 4th - all club workouts will be at Whitney Ranch
Tue & Thur 6:30-8:15 for younger group
Tue & Thur 6:30-9 pm for older group
5. Masters and Club workouts will be at Whitney on Sat's from 1-2:30 pm Club and 2-4 pm for Masters.

Mary St. John will be at the pool on Friday and Sat (Nov 16th and 17th)... Everyone needs to bring back all the money from the fund raising items or the books, cards. We need to turn back the items before we are charged for the unsold items.

We (players and Coaches) are staying at one of my former players from Commerce (she was also on the National Team) business office/warehouse - please write a Thank You Note and little something from each of you to Carmen. Parents: if you are driving your child or other players you can drop them off and pick them up in the am before games or Bkfast.

During our stay we are going to be doing team bounding events. One of the events I have planned is: Baby Pictures!!!! Everyone bring me one of your baby pictures - Don't let anyone see it - try to find one that does not really look like you now or it will be hard to pick you out.

Please put on this blog if you are driving and who you are taking or if you have room for more passengers - AND - if you need a ride.

I will be driving and taking Jenny Brooks - McCarthy. I have room for a few more if Tony takes his truck and can take our luggage.

Commerce - ASU (Master & Club)

The Commerce payment was due Nov 2nd - and everyone has not paid, a few of you have talked with me or Tony and will pay this week. Other have not!!! The following have not paid the $70: Steven, Emilie, Joey, Darick. Who will pay this week: Josh, Jared, Connor, Hunter, Treavor and Gabby.

The ASU payment is due ($80): The following have not paid: Carlos, Edwin, Greg, Thor, Rob, Matt, Jenny, Ryan, Dr Phil, Matt Jr, Eliz and Andrew.

The following have not paid dues: Carlos (Oct - Nov and U of A tournament), Erin (Oct and Nov), Thor, Greg, and many of the club players have not paid.

Magee and Tami had their baby girl - Joe and Yaqi had their baby boy! Now we are waiting for Tony and Angie and their little one.

Yaqi and Joe had a baby boy today at between 4 and 6 pm - 5:22pm. 20 inches and 8 pounds and 15 oz (Yaqi told the doctor to put his finger and make it 9 pounds). They are both doing good!! There are only two parts of the body that look like Joe!! Pictures will come...
