Last weekend Iza played in the Junior 19 & Under National Championships... IZA was the high scorer for the tournament - Great Job Iza!!!

Waves

Waves the Whitney Ranch Pool is closed Tuesday Oct 6th... something is wrong with the pool. So come to MGP pool 6-8 pm.

Cost: $10 per person - Breakfast - Must be paid in advance to

Invite your family and friends to help the team and enjoy a breakfast and get your carwash. The carwash we are asking for donation, no set price.

We need volunteers to wash cars... we have people to eat.

Waves: 6:45 am to 8:30 am
Rapids "B" 8:15 am to 10 am
Rapids "A" 10 am to 1:30 pm

Waves you are back at Whitney Oct 6th - Tuesday 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Rapids A's and B's you are at MGP 6-8pm - Make sure you have running shoes!

It is getting cold bring Parka's jackets, head covering.... we don't need more players getting sick.

ODP's

Don't forget players wanting to tryout for the ODP teams you must register online (usawaterpolo.com) and pay the $60.00 fee. Let me know when you have registered.

There is a swim meet Oct 10th - Sat at MGP. We will move our workout to SUNDAY at WHITNEY - Waves: 1-2 Rapids 2-3:15 Masters 3:15-4:30 pm - NO STROKE WORKOUT!!

New Team Suit

Our new Team suit from Monster is on it's way.

Group - Names

Beginning Oct 1st we now have new unique names for each of our different groups.

SPLASH - WAVES - RAPIDS

SPLASH - are the players who play in the shallow end who SPLASH around. These players learn eggbeater kick along with basic game knowledge and rules. Players in this group also work to develop swim skill and strength.

WAVES - are the players who have graduated from splashing around and are now ready to ride the WAVES to the next level. Waves will begin to prepare for competition. Along with advanced fundamentals and game knowledge these players will be making WAVES to improve swim strength and conditioning.

RAPIDS - are broken into two groups: "A" and "B" The RAPIDS "B" group is for players who have the physical strength and posses advanced swim and eggbeater kick skills. These players will RAPIDLY learn new techniques and game concept to be able to move to RAPID "A" group who train and work vigorously for traveling competitions and to compete in ODP (Olympic Development Program)

ODP

THE GRANTS ARE DUE OCT 1ST - THEY MUST BE POSTMARK BEFORE OCT 1ST!!!! DON'T FORGET IT IS NOT JUST THE $800 BUT THE COST FOR TRAVEL TO AT LEAST 3 TRAINING CAMPS AND THE REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!

Team Vegas/Henderson Junior Olympic All American

Congratulations to Mia Chanove for begin selected an All American at the 2009 Junior Olympics. Mia's steady play at both ends (Defense and Offense) was the key to Mia being spotted by the Tournament Committee.

Club Workout
