Club Schedule

When the weather gets cooler we will move all workouts to Whitney - till then this is our schedule:

Tue: Older Group - MGP 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Younger Group - Whitney 6:30-9 pm (younger younger player may leave at 8:30 pm if
needed)
Thur: Older Group - Whitney 6:30-9 pm (6:30 - 7 older group we will be on the pitch back
or going over plays)
Fri: Younger Group - MGP 6:00 to 8 pm (6-6:30 dryland or chalk talk)
Sat: All - MGP 1-2:30 pm

U of A Tournament

The following will be going to the U of A tournament: Rob - Robert - Alex - Magee - Zach - Eric - Vaune - Jake - Edwin - Thor - Carlos. Cost $80 per player

You must ready to play Friday Oct 12th 5 pm and last game be ready to stay till 5-6 pm.

B group 7-8:30 (7-8 main pool - 8-8:30 swim and legs)
A group 7:30-9 (7:30-8 swim and legs - 8-9 main pool)

B's please be on time - we need everyone to help set up so we can begin 7:05 pm

Club - Workouts

The club workouts will begin Sept 18th - Tuesday, at Multi Gen Pool at 6:00 pm. We will start the workout off with a quick meeting: Outlining our upcoming schedule, rules and expectations.

Check the blog daily!!!! We will not pass out any notices, flyer's all the information will be on this blog.

Master Workout

Master Workout Schedule
Sept 17th to end of May

EVERYONE WILL MEET SEPT 17TH - MONDAY AT 6 PM FOR A QUICK TEAM MEETING ON UP COMING EVENTS. 6 PM!!!!!

We have locked down our pool time at UNLV!!! Let’s review the rules:

1. Everyone enter and leave by the side door.
2. We may not have the use of the locker rooms, still checking into this.
3. Everyone help take out lane lines, flags, goals.
4. I am not going to remind players to help with setting up the pool. These are your teammates, you know who stands around and talks while everyone else works… nail them on their lack of help.
5. Everyone help put back the lane lines, flags, goals.
6. We do NOT need 6 people standing by the ball cart putting away balls and caps.
7. Pick up your empty water bottles.
8. Bring water!!
9. Please try to be on time!!! Especially the B group, we need to set the pool.

We have the UNLV pool Monday and Wednesday from 6-8:30 pm.

“B” Group: 6-7:15 pm in main pool
7:15-8 pm sides – conditioning

“A” Group: 6:30-7:15 pm sides – conditioning
7:15-8:30 pm in main pool


“B” Group: Mark St. John, John M, Mark W, Joey, Shannon, Dave, UP, Paul, Dawn, Damon, Anthony, Gregg, Frank, Alex, Eliz, David G, Brian, Vaune, Adrian, Erik, Andrew, Ryan, Jake.

“A” Group: Tony, Edwin, Jenny, Magee, Jacint, Joe, Rob, Robert, Thor, Roger, Foley, Erin, Zach, Peter, Jamey, Carlos, Mark SJ.

Saturdays: Remember the City of Henderson does not charge the masters pool time because I told them the masters come 30 mins early to help our club players with basic skills/private lessons from: 2:00 – 2:30 pm. From 2:30-4 pm is our scrimmage time.

Master - U of A tournament

The tournament director just emailed me regarding their tournament - they will not except any entries past Sept 14th. I need to know how many want to go - so far only Rob has said yes. Please respond to the post if you would like to attend.

First Day at School - Maui

Summer is over and the first day of school is just around the corner, don't forget to post the flyer's advertising Water Polo (the flyer's Tony passed out during our Maui Meeting). We need every one's help to keep our club growing.

Club

The Commerce tournament will be held Dec 1 & 2, 2007. We plan on taking our 2 teams we had at our tournament. A's and 10's. Mark it down on your calendars!!!!

I am also checking into the Fallbrook Tournament in Jan 2008 for all age groups. If we do not have enough players we will join forces with a few Utah players, Reno and Arizona players.

Cactus Classic

Hey Gang - just got an invite to the U of A Cactus Classic. The tournament will be held Oct 12-13-14th. (Friday pm - Sat and Sun). They may let us enter two team (an A and B team) we will enter our A team. I need to know everyone who can attend. If we enter 1 team the cost will be per player: S75 per player. If we enter 2 teams the cost will be per player: $60.

Please respond to this blog if you can go!!! Thor better go - everyone is looking forward to another BBQ at your place Sat pm. Eating on the roof under the Arizona stars!!!

6 on 5 Class

I am holding a special session (class room) on 6 on 5 at my house Wed, August 22nd. 6 pm - 8 pm. Anyone can attend, I would like the following masters to attend: Paul, Dave (biker), Anthony, Shannon, Frank, UP...... we are going to cover #ing, passing patterns, defense... bring paper and pencil!!!

DISAPPOINTED!!!

To say I am disappointed would be an understatement!!! When the last game was finished, everyone took off and did not help put things away or clean up!!!! The only people who stayed were: Mark St. John who can't walk at the end of this day stayed - Robert who was either playing or reffing all day long stayed - Dale Cooper stayed - Jake and Alex stayed - Louie and Hunter stayed - Carlos stayed. 8 People from our entire group of at least 80 people - players, parents, friends and we have 8 (EIGHT) stayed to put things away and clean up.

You can not say it was hot and we were there from the 7:15 am - because so were the 8 that stayed. You can't say I did not know we had to stay to clean up, this was on the blog for at least 3 weeks that we needed everyone to help out. I don't know what to say, but I am very disappointed in this group - not mad, just very hurt that no one really cares about the entire program.

I just hope we have everyone there to set up at 7 am!!!! And everyone stays for the last game and helps clean up and put things away.

Sorry I missed Rob Wills and his wife Pat - and Nabu helped. Thanks you very much. (Would like you to know why Tony, Vaune and I did not stay: we held a Zone meeting at my house to discuss the future of water polo in our zone..... or we would have stayed to help.)

Masters when you get a chance say Thank You to Vaune, she paid for our pool time at Dula. It was not cheap - they charged us over $14 per lane per hour - we used 6 lanes for 2 hours times 5 workouts - over $850.00.

Tournament Help

Tony is getting people to work the scorers table. If you have not signed up to work please do so!! To run this tournament it is going to take the entire team to help out where every and when ever!!

Bring your ice chest, water, snacks, sun screen and lawn chairs. Be ready to work and be on time!!!

Everyone should be in your suit ready to meet 30 mins before your game time!!! Don't be late!!!
